A study suggests that by paying more attention to the experience of exercise itself, we are more likely to enjoy as well as to continue an exercise program.

One of the most reliable indicators of whether people will continue to exercise is that they find exercise satisfying, that they enjoy being active. The study looked at the correlation between mindfulness and satisfaction with exercise and found that mindfulness plays an important part in making exercise feel satisfying. That means, if you are a reluctant exerciser the best thing to do is to focus on being mindful and present during your exercise.
